Sydney Film School invites you to participate in a panel discussion ‘The One Thing All New Filmmakers Must Know: Distribution’.



In the new world of screen and media, there is one area filmmakers must know about in order to survive: how to distribute your film. To help you get started, Sydney Film School and its Industry Advisory Board invite you to participate in a free discussion panel ‘The One Thing All New Filmmakers Must Know: Distribution’.

Held at 4pm on Wednesday July 14 at the Chauvel Cinema in Paddington as part of the 12th Sydney Film School Festival, the panel will aim to enlighten you on how to get your films to an audience (festivals, online, etc) and get your film career going.

This event is free and open to the general public and will provide you with practical tips and advice from experienced industry players including short Film Festival Organisers and Rachel Okine from Hopscotch Films, the Australian distributor of Fahrenheit 9/11 and Mao’s Last Dancer, who will chair the panel.

► Annie Parnell - Manager, Flickerfest 20th International Australian Short Film Festival
► Ben Claremont - SFS graduate whose film Eulogy won Best Experimental film award at the 2010 Tirana Film Festival, Albania & was the Best Film Finalist at the 2009 Gstaad Film Festival, Switzerland. Altogether film screened at 7 international and 5 local film festivals.
